Statement of Faith

God:

We confess that in the beginning God created the Heaven and Earth. And we confess there is only one God, Eternal, existing in three persons; The Father, The Son, The Holy Ghost, and that God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:24; Genesis 1:1

Man:

We confess that God made man in His image, after His likeness and that the body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit. God made man with a free will, moral character, and a spiritual nature. Man fell from the Glory and purpose of God while being tempted in the Garden of Eden. We acknowledge this disobedience as sin, resulting in the universal guilt upon all humanity. Fallen man can be restored through salvation by the Blood of Christ (The New Birth) as the redemption for the sin of man.
Genesis 1:26; Ephesians 2:13

Jesus:

We confess that Jesus is the Christ (The Messiah) the only begotten Son of God; conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of a virgin. We confess that Jesus came in the flesh and was tempted in all points like as we are, yet without sin, was crucified, buried, and resurrected the third day and ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Throne of God making intercession for us. This Jesus has paid the penalty for sin and is the redemption for all mankind… We believe that Jesus will return the second time to receive His Bride (church) unto Himself.
Mat. 24:27; Acts 4:12

The Holy Spirit:

We confess the Holy Spirit is a person of the Trinity of the Godhead. We confess that Salvation is divinely confirmed by the Fruit of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead; He is the Baptism of power as was demonstrated on the day of Pentecost in the upper room. We confess that this baptism of power is the anointing that equips man for service and is a definite work of Grace received subsequent to regeneration. We believe the Holy Spirit leads, guides, convicts, comforts, reproves the world of sin. He imparts the divine nature of God in the believer and gives Spiritual gifts to the Church which is the Body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12

The Word of God:

We confess that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. We believe all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. We believe that the Word of God is infallible, inerrant, and eternal and that man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
2 Tim 3:16

Biblical Practices of Oasis Tabernacle:

Our membership structure is a commitment of honor and usefulness to each other as a local body of believers. Within this body are functioning gifts recognized by the authority of ordination. These gifts are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers as found in Ephesians 4:11.

The offices of Deacons are also used for oversight in specific matters and practical needs of the body and are appointed to this duty. Other functioning gifts within the body are found throughout the New Testament and specifically 1 Corinthians 12:28.

We do not have a written practical standard, but we teach that the issues of the heart are to be in continual subjection to the Holiness of God in practical everyday living.
